CONFIDENTIALITY

Information obtained or given to the Co-Operative from residents will be treated confidentially and not divulged to a third party without prior written agreement from the tenant or leaseholder concerned. Only staff have access to the tenancy files and rent accounts of residents.

We hold some of our information on computer so that we can provide a better service. Under the Data Protection Act (1984), you have the rights to:-

• See what information we hold about you on our computer.
• Challenge the information if it is wrong and have it corrected.
• Claim compensation from us if you can prove in Court that you have been damaged by wrong information.
